Do I have any options to send my student to a different elementary school besides our zoned attendance school for 2026-27?

While in-district transfers will be paused for 2026-27, families are still welcome to enter the lottery for one of the district’s magnet schools through Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD). 

These magnet schools include:

• Birch Grove School for the Arts (prek- grade 5)
• Weaver Lake: A Science, Math & Technology School (K-5)
• Zanewood Community: A STEAM School (K-5)
• Brooklyn Middle STEAM School (6-8)
• Osseo Senior High School health science magnet program (9-12)
• Park Center Senior High School: An IB World School (9-12)

NWSISD is accepting applications from Oct. 15-Dec. 17, 2025 for its first magnet school lottery in early January, 2026, for the 2026-27 school year. Visit nws.k12.mn.us/magnet-lottery.html for more information.
