I heard certain grade levels have the option to stay at their current school for 2026-27. Is that correct?

Yes. After listening to community feedback during the attendance boundary change decision-making process in winter and spring 2025, the district will give families of students in fifth and eighth grade for 2026-27 a Remain in Place option. Though transportation will not be provided and will be the responsibility of the family, this gives students in their final year of elementary and middle school the option to stay at their current school for one additional year. 

Before the end of November, Osseo Area Schools will share a form with families of all students eligible for the Remain in Place option. Please stay tuned for this form, which will be shared via email.
