Blast Wrap Around Care

Students enrolled in prekindergarten at Oak View Elementary School for the school year. Prekindergarten programs at Oak View Elementary School include Early Childhood & Family Education’s PreK and Free, Half Day, Everyday prekindergarten.

Registration will be available to families once their prekindergarten application at Oak View Elementary School has been approved in Prekindergarten for Fours or Tuition-Free Prekindergarten. 

There is a maximum of 30 students that can be enrolled in the program. The student to staff ratio is 1:10.

Monday through Friday, during the school year. You can drop off your student as early as 7 a.m. and pick up by 5:30 p.m.

Morning class: 9:20 a.m. – 12 p.m. Afternoon classes: 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Times may vary due to transportation needs

Blast Wrap Around Care starts on your child's first class day of prekindergarten and ends on their last class day of prekindergarten.

• Blast Wrap Around Care is open on most non-school days from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
• Registration for non-school days can be made online in your account at osseo.ce.eleyo.com with a current contract.
• Non-school day requests remain pending until approved two weeks prior to the non-school date. Non-school days are included in tuition.

Blast Wrap Around Care is $200 per week during the school year. Tuition includes care on non-school days. Tuition is invoiced weekly on Thursday by email and due weekly on Monday.

Blast Wrap Around Care does accept child care assistance through your county. The program also offers scholarships through an application process. Applications can be requested through the Kidstop/Four Star Business office by email to cecares@district279.org or calling 763-585-7281.

Yes. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided as part of the daily routine and included in tuition.

Blast Wrap Around Care offers a balance of structured and unstructured play-based activities that align with the district’s early childhood curriculum. The program emphasizes social-emotional learning, utilizing both the Second Step curriculum and the Pyramid Model to help children develop important skills like emotional regulation, empathy, and problem-solving. Program staff will collaborate closely with Early Childhood & Family Education staff at Oak View Elementary School to support continued learning and provide consistency between the prekindergarten class and wrap around care

Students will engage in a variety of activities that promote learning and growth such as dramatic play, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), literacy, fine/gross motor skill development, mindfulness and outdoor play. Both large and small group activities are incorporated throughout the day to support social interaction, cooperation and individual learning needs.

Blast Wrap Around Care provides a daily rest period lasting 30 minutes to one hour. While students are not required to sleep, they are encouraged to rest their bodies and participate in quiet activities in a designated space.

Staff assignments will be finalized in Aug. 2026. Classroom staff will be available for the upcoming school year the week prior to the start of school. Families will receive email newsletters with updates weekly.

Transportation eligibility varies depending on the early learning program you are attending and the student’s home address. Please contact transportation to determine eligibility at 763-391-7244 or email BusQuestions@District279.org. If request is received by August 14, 2026, transportation will start the first day of school (if eligible) for the 2026-27 school year. Requests received after August 14, 2026 will be processed in the order received once routes are open in mid-September. 

You may withdraw your student at any time. A $35.00 withdrawal fee will be charged per student. All withdrawals must be submitted through the online website osseo.ce.eleyo.com by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday to take effect the following Monday.
