Troy Schreifels, Osseo Area Schools’ director of transportation, security and emergency management, recently won the 2025 Transportation Administration of the Year award through the Minnesota Association for Pupil Transportation (MAPT).

The Transportation Administrator of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies outstanding qualities that support and further MAPT’s mission of fostering progress and improvement of educational programming and promoting procedures that lead to increased safety, efficiency and economy in pupil transportation service.

“The award was a highlight for me because my transportation team nominated me,” Schreifels said. “They submitted a very kind and thoughtful application, and it meant a lot to me.”

“Over the past 24 years I have had the privilege of impacting K12 school transportation in a positive manner and this award supports it. I have many mentors and colleagues who support me each and every day,” he added.

Schreifels was presented with a commemorative plaque from MAPT at a July training event.
