Early Childhood & Family Education has classes and new opportunities for families to connect this fall

Osseo Area Schools Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program has many opportunities for parents/caregivers with children from birth to age five to experience learning through play at school and in the community.

ECFE classes are scheduled at Arbor View or Willow Lane Early Childhood Center through January for parents/caregivers and children birth to age five to enjoy together. While classes have started, enrollment still is available. To explore ECFE classes for infants, one and two year-olds, or birth to five year-olds, go to osseoschools.arux.app to register or call the main office at 763-391-8777. A sliding fee scale determines class fees. No family will be turned away due to inability to pay.

On Sept. 23 the Early Childhood Parent Teacher Organization (ECPTO) hosted its first playdate of the school at Arbor View Early Childhood Center. Families in the ECFE program gathered for an evening at the school’s playground and Nature Play Area, where children could climb, slide and swing, explore the mud kitchen and water pumps, walk the trail and play the outdoor musical instruments and more. ECPTO members shared ways parents can get involved and support the ECFE program, while staff connected with families and shared resources.
