Explore and register for Adult Enrichment classes to try something new, connect with community and have fun
A variety of Community Education Adult Enrichment classes have started this fall, offering opportunities to explore interests, build skills, enjoy hobbies and learn something new in a district facility or online. Classes are taught by highly skilled professionals and knowledgeable community members who share a passion for lifelong learning.
During last week's ‘Build Your Own Terrarium’ class at Osseo Middle School, adults learned how to build their own glass-enclosed terrariums using layers of gravel, mesh, rocks, bark, moss and plants.
During class, the instructor shared how miniature ecosystems work and why including organisms such as springtails help to break down organic matter and recycle nutrients in the soil. Before going home, adults learned simple, low-maintenance steps to care for and keep the miniature ecosystems healthy.

More Adult Enrichment classes are scheduled this fall that will spark curiosity, creativity and help adults get to know others in the community.
