Osseo orchestra invited to Orchestra Hall for festival performance

Osseo Senior High School’s (OSH) freshmen philharmonic orchestra recently advanced to the Minnesota String Teachers Association Tier 2 festival performance at Orchestra Hall.
On March 31, the OSH musicians participated in sectionals with members of the Minnesota Orchestra. They rehearsed, enjoyed a dinner in downtown Minneapolis and then performed in a concert with some of the best eighth and ninth grade orchestras in the state.
"It felt like I was playing in a professional orchestra,” said violinist Maysa Phongsisattanak of the festival. “It was so fancy- the sound cubes, the size of the stage, the balcony seats. I felt so high class!"
"It was a very fun experience, and it felt like a once in a lifetime experience!" added cellist Emmanuella Messan.
