Park Brook Elementary School hosts Boys Climb event
For several years, Park Brook Elementary School has hosted a Girls on the Run program at the school. In response to family requests for opportunities specific to boys, the school hosted a Boys Climb event Feb. 27.
“We try to listen to feedback from our families and, more importantly, to respond,” said Park Brook Principal Scott Taylor.
The Boys Climb event began with open gym time at the school. Then, organizers divided into small groups to ask participants what they like about Park Brook, what makes it a strong school, and what they would like to see added or changed.
After the Q&A session, the group roasted hot dogs in the courtyard over a couple of fires before heading to the Minneapolis Bouldering Project for an exciting evening of climbing.
