Prekindergarten students connect learning with annual Teddy Bear Parade

Last week, Four Star Express prekindergarten students celebrated with the annual Teddy Bear Parade, which rolled through the hallways of Basswood and Rush Creek elementary schools.

Students proudly lined up in the hallways to showcase their one-of-a-kind teddy bear floats as other students and staff from the schools cheered and clapped along the parade route.

The celebration marked the end of a math unit that connected classroom learning concepts to a teddy bear theme. Students had the opportunity to design their floats at school or at home with an adult. 

The school-wide events offered the prekindergarten students encouragement and support, while fostering a strong sense of school community.
