Summer facility use update – Building A Better Future construction
Osseo Area Schools’ operations team is coordinating Building A Better Future construction plans to ensure timelines are met and buildings are ready for students and staff at the start of the 2026-27 school year. Final summer construction schedules and timelines were confirmed this week. With plans now set, we can provide clearer guidance for facility rentals during the summer months.
What to expect this summer
Summer construction will impact some district buildings for community individuals or groups seeking space for events. In alignment with district facility use policies, school and district programming will remain the first priority to ensure uninterrupted services for students. Some school buildings will be closed to community use from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2026, for Priority 2, 3, and 4 permits.
Buildings closed to community use:
- The former Crest View Elementary School: A newly rebuilt site in Brooklyn Park is tentatively set to open Sept. 2027.
- Brooklyn Middle School
- Edinbrook Elementary School
- Fernbrook Elementary School
- Maple Grove Middle School
- Maple Grove Senior High School
- Indoors closed.
- Outdoors: Limited access to stadium and tennis courts, no grass field use.
- Osseo Middle School
- Pool and gym will have limited access.
- Osseo Senior High School
- Indoors closed.
- Outdoors: Limited access to the stadium, tennis courts, and turf field.
- Park Center Senior High School
- Indoors closed.
- Outdoors: Limited access to the stadium (closed July for track replacement), and tennis courts.
