Destiny Library is a web-based library catalog used to search and access library media center materials including books, eBooks, digital audiobooks, and other resources.

The Minnesota state legislature passed a Free School Meals for Kids bill into law in the spring of 2023, which allows all in-person K-12 students to receive a free school breakfast and lunch each day, excluding a la carte/special menu items.

However, it’s still important for households to fill out the Educational Benefits application (formerly the free/reduced lunch application) on EduTrakConnect. Depending on income, families who apply may receive free or discounted prices for:

• Field trips
• Clubs, activities and athletics
• Band instruments
• ACT, SAT and AP fees
• Home internet rates with certain providers
• Xcel Energy account assistance for electricity bills

Please fill out the Educational Benefits application today to make sure your family can take advantage of these and other benefits!

Apply using EduTrack Connect:

• Visit EduTrakConnect
• Sign up for account or log in
• Click on fork and knife icon
• Click on blue icon that says “apply for free/reduced benefits.”

To bypass creating an EduTrakConnect account, access the application directly. 

EduTrakConnect (formerly SmartSchoolK12) can be used to add money to a student’s lunch account, register for athletics and other school activities, and pay fines and fees.

To get started, you'll need to create a user account, which will be unique to you.

FirstView Bus Tracking App is a mobile app that allows you to view the status of your student’s bus. You can access the FirstView Bus Tracking App from:

• The school district website;
• Each school’s website; or
• A free app available for Apple and Android mobile devices.

FirstView Bus Tracking App is a tool for informing families and students about bus delays and offers real-time GPS bus route monitoring. 

Please note that even when buses are delayed, students are still responsible for being at the bus stop in order to be transported to school. When school is cancelled due to weather, FirstView Bus Tracking App will show that buses are cancelled, too.

The FirstView Bus Tracking App will only be used to track busses during the school year (Sept.-June). 

Using the mobile app

1. Download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play Store. 
2. Check out the Quick Start Guide for more information on how to use this app. 

Important note: The school district manages the information contained in the app/web-based service but cannot provide technical support for the app/web-based service itself. If you have a question about the information you see in FirstView Bus Tracking App, please contact our Transportation Department at 763-391-7244. We are excited to introduce the Lightspeed Parent Portal, a new tool designed to help you stay informed and engaged in your child’s digital learning experience. As technology continues to evolve, your involvement remains essential, and this portal provides greater visibility and control over internet activity on school‑issued devices during home and after‑school hours.

The Lightspeed Parent Portal allows you to take action when needed. The portal is fully web‑based and mobile responsive, making it easy to use from any device.

How to Enroll:

1. You will receive a “Welcome to Parent Portal” email from do_not_reply@lightspeedsystems.com.

2. Click the “Start using Parent Portal” button to register and create your account.

3. A verification email will be sent to the address you provided. Follow the instructions to log in.

4. Once inside the portal, you can use the dropdown menu to switch between students if you have more than one child.

Key Features:

• Limit Internet Access: Create automated schedules by day and time to manage screen time at home. You can select time blocks, choose allowed or blocked categories, activate custom block lists, or pause internet access entirely.

• Block Specific Sites: Use custom block lists to restrict access to individual websites while still allowing general browsing.

We hope this tool strengthens the partnership between home and school by supporting safe and balanced digital learning. If you have any questions, please reach out to your school’s main office.
